Your child’s education at Wimbledon English School spans eight years and is divided into three phases: Foundation Stage, Nursery and Reception.
During their years at Wimbledon English school the children will be offered a broad and balanced curriculum. This will generally be a topic based approach with a wide variety of activities, and learning and teaching strategies. The legal requirements of the Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum will be met. The curriculum will reflect the ethos of the school and will try to maximise the potential achievement of every child.
The school curriculum encompasses the sum total of learning opportunities that your child will experience whilst at school. It is planned with clear progression and cohesion to make learning experiences relevant and meaningful. The framework of the National Curriculum is the basis on which learning is organized.
We consistently aim to build on your child’s previous learning experiences and engage them in a level of work that is appropriate to their needs.
Our pleasant outdoor play area is immediately outside the playschool room, and is fully enclosed and has artificial safety grass surface and a fully enclosed covered sand area. We offer ‘free-flow play’ with an open door whereby children can choose to go outdoors for supervised play.
